A Message from the President

Larry Goode

From the hydraulic farm equipment and automobiles of the 1950s to today’s state-of-the-art medical, chemical process and fluid metering equipment, RT/Dygert International has supplied billions of the o-rings, seals and other parts that have supported the American way of life for the last 50 years. Now we are celebrating our 50th year in business by doing what it has done best for five decades: Focusing on personal relationships with our customers and vendors.

One of the keys to our success is our long-term relationships. In many cases, some of those relationships span three or four decades and two generations. Throughout the next year, we want to personally thank as many of those people we work with daily as possible.

Longevity is nothing new to RT/Dygert or our 47 employees, many of whom have been with the company for decades. Our corporate values have always centered on treating our customers and employees with dignity and respect. We also pride ourselves on keeping pace with the rapid marketplace changes particularly in the areas of technology and global sourcing, as well as product and service line additions.

When Ed Dygert founded the company back in 1958, then known as E.S. Dygert Co, his modest home in Edina, Minnesota also doubled as the company’s headquarters. Space wasn’t much of an obstacle at first because Dygert was also the only employee. Today we have 47 employees with locations in Minneapolis, Chicago and Shanghai, China.

My goal is to set up RT/Dygert International so that it thrives another 50 years. Back in 1958, we traveled to Sioux City, Iowa or Duluth, Minnesota to supply parts for hydraulic cylinders or agricultural sprayers. Now we ship parts to Shanghai, China and South America for paint guns and CAT Scan equipment. But no matter how well we do at keeping pace with our industry’s technological and global advances, I hope we never lose sight of the fact that it’s still the human relationships that add the ultimate value to every service we provide.

Respectfully,

Larry Goode
