U Cup Assortment Kit

U-cups are uni-directional seals that are designed to seal pressure from one direction only.  Typically they're used in dynamic applications, such as a piston seal, but it is possible to use them in static applications.  U-cups have the advantage over O-rings due to a wide range of sealabilty, especially at lower pressures.  However, due to the nature of the sealing mechanism, systems with pressure spikes or high internal pressures can cause problems that an O-ring normally would not have.
