Dual Purpose Wipers

Dual purpose wipers are essentially wipers with a built in rod seal .  This is accomplished by adding a U-cup seal at the base of the wiper.  This type of rod seal is typically not as robust as a loaded U-cup or even an unloaded U-cup.  However, in low pressure pneumatic applications, a dual purpose wiper can eliminate the need for both a rod seal and a wiper, reducing costs.
