Inspection Capabilities
RT/Dygert has a full array of equipment for incoming inspection of parts at RT/Dygert. The primary tools are:Micro-Vu Non-contact Visual Inspection Device: This highly calibrated machine is capable of measuring parts well within the tolerances spelled out by the Rubber Manufacturer Association's guide lines. WIth this piece of equipment, RT/Dygert is capable of measuring: distances, angles, radiuses, diameters, circularity, concentricity, flatness, and paralleism. With this piece of equipment can also measure dimensionally in the Z direction as well.
Shore A/M: RT/Dygert can measure incoming product on the shore either shore scale to help ensure incoming part quality meets your hardness requirements. While Shore M and A are similar they are not 100% equal. Typically we measure with Shore A whenever possible, but we may be required to measure with the M scale on smaller parts.
Density: RT/Dygert can measure specific gravity of incoming shipments via the Archimedes method. This allows us to verify correct compound type, since most common elastomers have wide enough density range that they are capable of being determined with the specific gravity method.
Please note that RT/Dygert maintains detailed calibration records, and all our equipment is calibrated by ISO/IEC 17025 certified vendors.
