When tolerance stacking becomes critical for an application, machined precision wear rings are the right choice.  These wear rings are machined rather than molded, and thus they offer much tighter thickness tolerances than molded wear rings.  Tighter tolerances for thickness on precision wear rings allows for precision clearance control and helps maximize available bearing surface
