Fluorocarbon rubber is well suited to function in tough operating environments, due to its inherent resistance to a multitude of fluids and high temperature.  Fluorocarbon performs well in media where use of a nitrile O-ring would normally result in seal failure.  Such environments include: solvents, acids, bases, and ozone.
The 75 durometer brown fluorocarbon rubber in this kit is exactly the same as normal black 75 fluorocarbon, the only exception being the color difference.  In a busy shop/manufacturing environment, assuring you have the correct compound for a job is critical.  The brown color allows quick material identification, in order to prevent mixing of parts with other materials such as nitrile or EPDM.
