INTERNATIONAL MATERIAL DATA SYSTEM (IMDS)
The End of Life Vehicle Directive is a regulation established by the European Union to deal with the impact of end-of-life vehicles on the environment. The International Material Data System was established as a material aggregation tool for the various reporting requirements initiated by the 2000/53/EC Directive. The IMDS system also provides a means of identifying parts or components that might contain hazardous or dangerous substances, such as the chemicals or elements specified by the RoHS or REACh directives.
RT Dygert (IMDS certification number 55580) is fully proficient in the setup and submittal of materials and components in the IMDS system. While most IMDS submission requests are generated through the automotive industry’s PPAP process, stand-alone IMDS requests will be honored.
